We have been thinking about the Global Goals for Sustainable Development in Year 5 this half-term and had a lot of fun repurposing our plastic bottles. We have cut and painted them to create plant pots and as soon as the weather improves we will be filling them with soil and planting some seeds. This links to our work in science on life cycles, as well as creating a perfect opportunity to grow plants which help climate change by absorbing carbon from the atmosphere. Win-win.
