Year 3 looked absolutely fantastic dressed up for Ancient Egyptian Day this week. They enjoyed taking part in a range of different activities to learn more about our topic Ancient Egypt. We learnt about how the Ancient Egyptians mummified people and we had a go at mummifying cardboard people! Later, we learnt all about Egyptian writing and how they used hieroglyphics. The children were able to show off their Ancient Egyptian writing skills and write their names and secret messages using hieroglyphs. We also made lots of beautiful Egyptian jewellery and headdresses.
