To start our week off Reception read the book 'A wonderful world of weather' . After reading the book we spoke about different weather types and how we dress differently for them.

We then read the book 'Can we really help the polar bears?' This book showed the children how easy choices such as turning the lights off and walking to school can make a big difference in helping our environment. They were shocked to hear about how the ice is melting and how the polar bears might not have anywhere to live if people keep making bad choices.

Throughout the week there have also been activities and enhancements to further our understanding of how our role affects climate change.

To end the week all children in Reception got to make and eat a polar bear biscuit.
