Our classroom layout and resources support this approach.

In order to provide playful learning opportunities relating to phonics and maths, we keep two exciting, interactive tabletop 'displays' always available. These are the Super Sound Station and the Maths Zone.  We keep them fresh with resources that are carefully selected to match/follow/build on the children's own interests.  

This week, we are investigating yoghurt pot telephones on the Super Sound Station.

In the Maths Zone the children are making repeating patterns.

Do ask your child what they have discovered.
