Letter from Miss Coceal
Dear Year 2,
How are you? I hope that you are all well and continuing to keep safe. Isn’t this a rather strange way of communicating? When I was in school, I remember having to write lots of letters, and when I moved to a new school, I used to keep in touch with my friends by writing letters. I loved writing letters because I could add lots of information about what I had been up to and decorate the letters with stickers and drawings. Sometimes, I even wrote my letters in glitter gel pens!
I am sure lots of you are making the most of this beautiful, sunny weather. It is important for our bodies and our minds to have lots of fresh air and to exercise. I wonder if you have noticed the shapes of the clouds on your walk. It is also a good chance to meet your friends but remember not to stay close, it’s for our safety!
At home, I have been busy doing lots of school work and keeping organised for when we come back to school. I have been on Purple Mash, checking your work and finding new things for you to try! I have had some lovely work on Purple Mash, and many of you have been using conjunctions and describing words in your sentence work. This shows great learning behaviour! Remember you can email your work on the year2help@stopsley.primayluton.co.uk email and we can put it on the website. If you would like to write a letter, you can send that on the email as well.
I wonder what new skills you have been learning whilst at home. I have been trying out different dance moves, learnt new recipes and read lots of different books. I have also been practising my writing skills and I am writing a story. Have you learnt a new skill or tried something new? You might have read something that we haven’t yet! Do share this on the email.
This time is difficult and I am missing you all. Do enjoy this time with your family and in making happy memories. Hope to see you soon!
Love,
Miss Coceal
