This half-term we started a new topic in English, which was called 'A Twisted Tale'. Basically, what we did is we chose a fairytale/ childhood story e.g. Jack and the Beanstalk, Little Red Riding Hood, The Three Little Pigs etc. and we changed it. In my tale, I twisted Jack and the Beanstalk. Some of the changes I made included: turning Jack into a girl (Jennie); having the Giant eat the girl; instead of them living in a cute village, they lived in a modern city; and, I changed the beanstalk into a skyscraper. I found this type of writing very fun and would do it again if I could.
