In year 6,  in science we have been looking at Evolution and Inheritance. Across the three classes, we have explored how living things have changed over time, how characteristics are passed down from generation to generation and how animals adapt to suit their changing environments. Children have taken part in different activities that have included identifying what characteristics an animal may need to survive in their environment, comparing variations between species to recognise which would be better suited to this environment. The children have shown a real inquisitiveness towards these activities and have produced some excellent work.
